# Assessments

The Assessments section is the central workspace for creating, managing, and delivering student assessments. Designed for both teachers and administrators, this section streamlines the full assessment lifecycle, making it easier to create, deliver, and evaluate student assessments. Whether you are building formative classroom quizzes or overseeing high-stakes district exams, the Assessments section provides the structure and flexibility needed to support effective testing.

## Screens in Assessments

| Screen | Description | Access |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Administer | Schedule tests and monitor progress from the Proctor Panel. | - All users can access this screen for the purpose of administering tests. - The **Administer Local Assessment** right grants users administrative access for their campus. |
| Author | Create new assessments from scratch or from pre-built templates, using a variety of interactive question types. | - All users can access their own tests on this screen. - District and school assessments are visible with the **Create Local Assessment Tests** right. - Team tests are visible by only to team members. |
| Proctor | Monitor student testing in real-time, see progress, and flag issues. Pause or resume individual student tests as needed and check for connection issues, skipped items, or potential testing irregularities. | - The user must have the **Test Proctoring Administration** right. |
| Assessments Settings | Configure test types, set performance levels, manage student inventory types, and add or edit teams. | - The **Create Local Assessment Tests** right is required to manage assessment settings. |
