# Creating User Accounts

Create user accounts for all employees in your district who will use any part of Eduphoria. You can create user accounts with the following methods:

- Using a wizard to create individual accounts.
- [Importing a data file](/v1/docs/importing-user-accounts) to add a large number of users.
- Using [access keys](/v1/docs/access-keys) to complete a user import with Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
- Employing [Active Directory (AD) Remote Authentication](/v1/docs/active-directory-remote-authentication), [ClassLink, or SAML](/v1/docs/saml-at-eduphoria).
- Harnessing [AD User Syncing](/v1/docs/setting-up-active-directory-user-syncing).

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:** AD Remote Authentication, ClassLink, and SAML require a successful user login before the system can create a corresponding user account.

> **Tip:** You can determine whether new users are granted **Built In Roles** or a **Custom Role** using the **Default new users to** setting on the **Security** tab of **District Settings**. For more information, see [Enabling Custom Roles](/v1/docs/enabling-custom-roles).

## **Creating New User Accounts Using the Wizard**

Manually adding user accounts is best when there are a few new users to add.

**Step 1:** Log in to **Eduphoria** and select **Management**.

**Step 2:**From the main menu, select the **User Settings**gear icon.

**Step 3:**From the resulting drop-down menu, select **Create New User** to launch the wizard.

**Step 4:**Enter the following user information:

- **First Name**
- **Last Name**
- **Email**
- **School**
- **Password**
- **Confirm Password**

Click **Next** when finished.

**Step 4:**Click **Finish** to load the user’s information and close the wizard.

You can search for the new user’s account and enter more details on the **Users** screen.

In addition to creating user accounts, administrators can [manage user accounts](/v1/docs/user-account-management) as well as [delete or reactivate user accounts](/v1/docs/deleting-reactivating-user-accounts) .
