# Item Bank

Aware stores locally-created assessment questions and purchased third-party item bank questions in a district-wide item bank. Item bank questions are connected to specific standards and are sorted by course.

The item bank is managed by staff members with the **Data Administrator** or **Item Bank Administrator** role. Your district can configure Aware to allow access to locally created questions submitted by teachers.

| Reports | Offers data visualization tools that help educators evaluate the quality and performance of assessment items over time. These insights are crucial for ensuring that test items are valid, reliable, and aligned to learning objectives. | - The user must have the **Manage Item Bank** right. |

Comma-Separated Values, a file format used for importing and exporting data, particularly in educational assessments. Spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets are commonly used to read and edit CSV files.
