# Management Rights

This article explains the rights that can be granted to provide users with specific levels of access in Management, including what each right allows users to do in the system.

Rights are the permissions assigned to users that determine which actions they can perform within the system. Assigning rights allows system administrators to control who can create, edit, view, or manage different aspects of the platform. For more information about roles and rights, see [Setting User Roles and Rights](/v1/docs/setting-user-roles-and-rights).

Only users with the **Manage Users** right can grant rights to other users. To grant rights to another user, access the **Users** screen in **Management**, search for and select the user from the **Users** list, and then navigate to the **Rights** tab. Select the checkbox for each right you want to assign to the user and then click **Save**.

All Management users can access the following screens and features:

| Manage Schools | - Schools - Schools Settings - Create New School |
| Change User Rights | - When combined with Manage Users, the user gains access to the Roles tab and Rights tab in user profiles. |
| Manage Calendars | - School Calendars - Organization Settings - Create New Calendar |
| Manage Guests | - Guests - Users Settings - Create New Guest |
| Restore Deleted Users | - When combined with Manage Users, the user gains access to the Restore Account button in Undelete Users. |
| Manage Groups | - Groups - Users Settings - Create New Group |
| Set Organization Logo | - Organization Settings - Set Organization Logo |
| Edit Student Information | - Students - Roster Settings - Upload Student Pictures - When combined with Access at All Campuses for Edit Courses and Sections and Edit Teacher Information, this right also grants access to Roster Settings > Manage Roster Imports. |

## Roster Rights

| Right | Grants access to… |
| --- | --- |
| View Student Information | - User can search for and access student profiles for any student rostered at their assigned schools. |
| View Student Demographics | - User can access demographics information for students rostered at their assigned schools. |
| View Student Program Codes | - User can access data related to program codes as they apply to students rostered at their assigned schools. |
| View Student Economic Status | - User can access data related to the economic status of for students rostered at their assigned schools. |
| View Student Journal | - User can access student journals for students rostered at their assigned schools. (for Texas districts) |
| View Teacher Information | - User can access information related to staff members at their assigned schools |
