# Strive Setup Checklist

## Task 1: Plan a Meeting

## Task 2: Set the Date for Archiving Evaluation Data for This School Year

(The [Unsigned Documents Report](/v1/docs/running-the-unsigned-documents-report), [Evaluation Process Completion Report](/v1/docs/running-the-evaluation-process-completion-report-spreadsheet), and [Evaluation Status Report](/v1/docs/running-the-evaluation-status-report) can help.) - Follow the directions in [Archiving Evaluations and Goals at the End of the Year](/v1/docs/archiving-appraisals-and-goals-at-the-end-of-the-year). - Verify that you’ve set the [instructional calendar dates](/v1/docs/creating-instructional-calendar) correctly for the archive: - Set the first instructional date early enough to capture the earliest date teachers might have written their goals. - Set the last instructional date to capture the completion of all evaluation documents from all staff members. - Determine the date and person responsible for exporting a copy of the archive for HR to keep in a digital format as PDFs. |  |

## Task 3: Modify Frameworks

> **Note:** Eduphoria provides locked templates that help ensure data fidelity and simplify the process of using templates for the Eduphoria community. The current templates include T-TESS Alt D1, T-TESS v2, T-PESS v2 , and T-SCESS. You will only need to create frameworks for any other processes you have that use multiple elements over time for comparison.

## Task 4: Update Evaluation Templates

|  | - Access current evaluation forms for principal and evaluator feedback. - Verify that you can obtain good data and reports from evaluation templates. - Visit **Eduphoria Community** in [**Evaluation Setup**](/v1/docs/evaluation-setup)****to determine if other evaluation forms would be more effective. - [Import templates](/v1/docs/importing-eduphoria-community-templates) from Eduphoria Community and edit as needed. - [Create](/v1/docs/creating-a-new-evaluation-template) or [edit new templates](/v1/docs/editing-evaluation-templates) as needed. - [Tag evaluation templates](/v1/docs/tagging-evaluation-templates-for-data-analysis-and-the-summative-panel) with domain and dimension. - Determine document options, like signatures or copying data into the summative. - Ensure that Student Growth is added to the evaluation process per Texas Education Code Chapter 150, Subchapter AA, §150.1001(f)(2). |  |

> **Note:** Obtain a summative document that includes the Student Growth rating from the Eduphoria Community.

## Task 5: Update Appraisee Types

Not all will need a framework. - [Define the evaluation process](/v1/docs/designing-the-evaluation-process-for-appraisee-types) with steps and tasks for each Appraisee Type. - Make sure student growth is part of your T-TESS process. - Determine if Student Portfolios in Aware and Strive will help you with your student growth tracking. - [Manage appraisal alerts](/v1/docs/managing-appraisal-alerts) in Evaluation Setup to send alert notifications tied to the district evaluation calendar and encourage staff members to set up [evaluation status emails](/v1/docs/evaluation-status-emails). |  |

## Task 6: Upload Reference Documents
