In response to requests related to editing Did Not Meet, Eduphoria has updated Did Not Meet to Performance Level Zero (PL0). As a result of this update, districts can rename the lowest level of performance to meet local needs. An additional benefit for districts subscribing to Aware Premium includes capabilities for Multi-Test Analysis to interact with achievement level mapping.
Note: Duplicate performance level names are not allowed.
Users with the appropriate rights can rename PL0. Only the name for PL0 can be changed. PL0 is enabled by default on all assessments. Students are assigned PL0 when they do not achieve any enabled performance levels or if no performance levels are enabled on an assessment.
Note: As Approaches, Meets, and Masters are state-defined performance levels within the STAAR importer, using these exact terms for local performance levels requires them to be placed in Performance Level 3, Performance Level 4, and Performance Level 5 respectively. However, making a small change—like adding an asterisk to the name of a performance level—allows for Approaches, Meets, and Masters in any performance level slot. Below are recommended modifications:
- Approaches*
- Approaches Grade Level
- Approaches GL
Note: Changing the position of a Performance Level will require a review of performance level cut scores on local assessments and a rescore for Quick View data to reflect the change.
