Strive offers a robust platform for managing professional development (PD). By creating courses and customizing settings, administrators can create and track conferences, courses, and certifications, ensuring alignment with district or state goals. This article provides an overview of the three major areas in which you can configure these settings.
Manage Courses
Manage Courses, located in Catalog, allows users to create and modify in-person district and school courses and eCourses. A course represents any professional or staff development opportunity offered throughout the district. Course Managers can create courses for large groups, small meetings, or one-on-one sessions with staff members. A course's life begins when it is created and ends when it is marked complete.
Manage Staff
Manage Staff allows users to:
- View Portfolios of staff members.
- Review Credit Requests for outside professional development.
- Import Custom Data for transferring credits between Eduphoria districts.
- View Locked Staff.
Access Manage Staff by selecting the Settings option from the main menu. You can search for staff members by entering a name or email address and selecting the magnifying glass icon. To see all staff members, enter nothing and click the magnifying glass icon.
Select a staff member’s name to view a professional development summary sorted by year. Select the Print button to print a PDF list of all credited professional development including titles, dates, and credits for the time the staff member was tracked in the system.
Select the Portfolio Transfer drop-down menu to create an exportable file or upload an importable file to transfer staff credits between Eduphoria districts.
Professional Learning Setup
Professional Learning Setup allows users to configure the various settings and parameters that determine how Strive Workshop functions. After the initial setup, users rarely need to modify these options.
