Teachers will be able to build their own custom Quick Views so they can effectively review and analyze data that is more pertinent to their students. Here, a "teacher" user refers to any rostered teacher or any user that has approved Student Access Lists.
Note: Teachers may edit data views only if the local Aware administrator has enabled the Allow Teachers to Edit Data Views setting.

- Select the tests to which the data view should be applied.
- Select the data fields in the Columns tab to be used in the data view.

Illustrated Guide:
Step 1: In Aware under Analysis, select Quick Views to view a list of assessments.
Step 2: Locate the test with data you wish to view by using the filter options, or select multiple tests to compare.
Step 3: Under View Template, choose which template to apply. Toggle on or off Summarize by Subject, then select Apply.
Step 4: Assuming the local Aware administrator has enabled teacher editing of Data Views, teachers will select the Edit button to view and add assessment data.
If a teacher toggled on Summarize by Subject, then the system will automatically check the box for Summarize Selected Tests and select With Subject Results.
Note: The Summarize by Subject option closely mimics triple-click behavior in Aware Classic. This option summarizes by subject across groups instead of summarizing by subject across tests.
Step 5: Select the assessments to which the data field will be applied by dragging them from the list on the left side of the window.
There are no restrictions on what order or the number of assessments allowed. However, it is best practice to use chronological order (oldest to newest) when multiple tests are being used. This also can be done via drag and drop.
Step 6: Select the data fields in the Columns tab to be used in the data view. The checkbox for Include Students Who Were Not Scored will include students who have test entries created in the data that have yet to be scanned or submitted.
Filtering is also available on the Columns tab. Select the field that needs a filter, select the Add Filter button, and then set the criteria on the logic statement that applies to the particular field. Filtering can be done on multiple fields, and also multiple filters can be added to a single field by selecting the Add Filter button more than once.
Step 7: Select the Summarize tab, then drag and drop the desired demographic fields to the data view.
To show the data that has been selected during the process, select Update. This action does not save any built Data View.
Step 8: Save changes to the data view.

- Select the tests to which the data view should be applied.

Illustrated Guide
Step 1: Under the Analyze tab in Aware, drill down to the test with data you wish to view. Select the test.
Step 2: Select the Edit button to view and add assessment data.
Step 3: Select the tests to which the data view should be applied.
At the bottom right of the Tests tab is a checkbox to Summarize Selected Tests With Subject Results.
If multiple tests are on the active screen and this box is checked, the resulting data when the Data View is updated will combine each subject into one column each. For example, if the Tests tab contains four different math tests, once updated with this box checked, those four tests will be summarized together to combine the results. If multiple subjects are in the view, each subject's tests will be summarized into a single column of data per subject.
Step 4: Select Columns tab, then add the data fields desired for the data view. At the bottom-right of the columns tab there is a checkbox to Include Students Who Were Not Scored. This button will include students who have test entries created in the data that have yet to be scanned or submitted.
Step 5: Select the Summarize tab, then drag and drop the desired demographic fields to the data view.
To show the data that has been selected during the process, select Update. This action does not save any built Data View.
Step 6: Save the custom data view by selecting the blue Save icon at the top-left of the Data View and then select OK.
After a custom Data View has been saved, that View can be found under My Saved Views on the Analyze tab. Any custom Data View can be edited to change the name or contents of the View. Once a View has been saved, it can also be edited and saved as a new View, allowing the original to not be changed.
