Student response collection failed to capture data successfully for some tests during this window of time. After investigation, the following was determined.
Summary of most recent events
The performance issue on November 18 was due to a software patch for functionality related to support components in online testing. It was not a failure of any service or from online testing load. Student response collection and transfer to long-term storage failed to connect successfully during this window of time. The performance issue on November 18 was inadvertently triggered by a software release unrelated to the online testing data store.
Steps already taken by Eduphoria
The software update from November 18 was reviewed and released removing the errors that caused the issue with online testing. Additional release protocols will be put in place to ensure all components of software that work adjacent to any online testing functionality prior to any future software release.
Immediate next steps for Eduphoria
Eduphoria is investigating additional improvements to data store redundancy.
