Interactive item types are question formats that go beyond traditional multiple choice and short answer responses. They are designed to engage students in more dynamic ways, often mirroring the technology-enhanced items found in state assessments.
These interactive formats are useful because:
They align closely with digital testing environments.
They allow for richer demonstrations of student thinking.
They help teachers assess skills that cannot be captured with simple multiple choice questions.
