The Data Views Bank is a central area in Aware where Saved Views and Quick Views are stored, shared, managed, and made available to users. Users with the Manage Shared Views right can access this screen to manage Data Views, which are the templates applied to assessment data to help educators dissect and analyze test results. There are two types of Data Views:
Saved Views – These are fully built data reports that display specific assessment or student data exactly as configured with filters, columns, and summaries already applied. Users can open them directly from the Data Views Bank to view results immediately.
Quick Views – These are templates that define how data should be displayed but must be applied to one or more assessments before generating results. They serve as reusable report formats rather than finalized data tables. For more information about using Quick Views, see Using Quick Views to Analyze Test Data.
Best Practices:
Establish naming conventions early on to make searching for views easy. Consider including the school name, grade level, and/or subject in the title.
Review who has Manage Shared Views rights regularly. Consider limiting this right to specialists and data admins.
When new tests or assessment types are rolled out, create or update corresponding views in Data Views Bank.
Leverage summary options. Use the Summarize by Subject toggle when comparing across multiple assessments of different subjects/tests to produce meaningful aggregated views.
Accessing Data Views Bank
To manage and access Data Views, begin by selecting Data Views Bank from the Analysis section of the main menu.

Sorting and Filtering the Data Views Bank
You can narrow down the list using the View Type, Saved View Access, and Quick View Access filters or by typing the name of a test in the Search by Title field. If you do not see some of these filter options, select the More button to show more filters. Likewise, you can select Less to collapse the filters. Choose Reset Filters to clear any filters that you previously selected.
Select a column header to sort Data Views in ascending or descending alphabetical order based on the column.
