To better serve our districts, Eduphoria is preparing to modernize a few of Strive’s features, including the form builder under Form Management and a new process builder. This update is crucial as it allows us to better serve our customers by providing more intuitive and flexible tools that address the unique needs of each district. The data used in these new tools will be stored in new data tables, separate from your current evaluation data. As a result, all districts must archive by June 15.
What do users need to do?
Appraisal administrators and managers need to prepare their staff to complete their evaluation process forms early this year. Then, they need to complete the end-of-year archive by June 15.
Completing the archive early allows for the migration to occur more seamlessly, ensuring your district has accurate historical reporting, long-term system stability, and a smoother experience for staff as they refine their processes using new tools before the next school year. We will be updating our documentation to help users harness these tools.
Since we are preserving evaluation data across two tables, your data won’t be at risk of loss during the migration. However, if you don’t archive by June 15, your old documents will remain under Evaluation Process within My Process and not be moved to Archived Evaluations. If you archive after June 15, these documents will fall within the 2026-2027 school year, and there will be no way to move them to a different year.
What are we migrating?
We are migrating the following within Strive:
Existing forms in Form Management and any data connected to the form
Processes (formerly known as appraisee types), including all steps, tasks, and form attachments
Historical evaluation data
What is changing in Strive with this update?
Appraisal administrators will notice the most changes with feature updates, while most other users will be unaffected.
The following features are going to be updated with the migration:
The form builder in Form Management will have a new screen for building and editing forms used in the evaluation process.
Users can build forms with dynamic informational items (sections, text, and goals) and response items (text responses, matrix responses, and selection responses).
Appraisee Types will be moved out of Evaluation Setup and called Processes moving forward.
Processes will be managed under a new Strive setting called Process Management.
Process Management will be the place to build and manage all processes in Strive.
Eduphoria Community will be removed from Evaluation Setup and won’t be migrated.
Electronic Signatures will only allow a teacher to sign first, display signatures on documents, and indicate whether a user refused to sign, among other quality-of-life improvements.
FAQ
As we move towards the migration and beyond, we have provided a list of frequently asked questions to assist you during the transition.
General
Why is Eduphoria making these changes to Strive?
Because we listen, and we hear you! Your feedback has shown us how much opportunity we have to enhance the management areas of Strive. That’s why we are making areas of Strive Evaluation more intuitive, to save you time and improve the overall experience.
I’m a new Appraisal Administrator in my district. Can you provide a refresher on the purpose of archiving, how it impacts data, and why it is so important?
Think of archiving as storing documents in an organized filing system. The archive process converts your documents to a PDF, preserving them and placing them in a folder based on the year the evaluation was archived. Once archived, evaluation documents cannot be edited. For step-by-step guidance to complete this process, follow our help guide or watch this video:
I keep receiving emails and notifications prompting me to complete the end-of-year Strive Evaluation processes for 2025-2026. What exactly am I being asked to do?
As Strive is being modernized, we are releasing new features powered by a new data structure. We are asking Appraisal Administrators to archive Strive data as soon as possible. This ensures your evaluations are nested under the correct folders for your staff, reducing confusion and questions next year. This will also unlock the new and intuitive Strive Evaluation Management features for your teams as soon as possible!
Migration
I keep hearing the words “Strive migration”. What exactly does that mean?
“Strive migration” describes the process of copying existing data from the legacy data structure to the new data structure. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, and after your district’s data has been archived and migrated, you will begin to see the new Strive experience. We hope Strive’s new design brings you joy!
Is there any chance my district may lose data in the migration?
No, all data will be preserved.
Why do all Strive districts need to archive 2025-2026 data by June 15, 2026?
There are a few reasons:
For 2025-2026 data to be attributed to the correct school year in the Archived Evaluations tab of My Process.
To unlock the new Strive features!
Our goal is to support your district team to complete the archive process as soon as possible in order to unlock the new Strive features!
What happens if my district doesn’t archive data before June 16, 2026?
After June 16, 2026, Strive will go through the update process, unlocking new and intuitive features for your district staff. The best way to inform our team of your plans is to indicate when your district plans to archive 2025-2026 data. We will do our best to honor your district’s timelines; however, it can not be guaranteed.
All evaluations and Strive data will remain intact; however, there are some risks if you delay archiving and do not meet archiving requirements by the time your district’s data has been migrated:
You may lose the opportunity to archive 2025-2026 data in the 2025-2026 folder.
You will delay your team’s access to the new Strive Evaluation management features.
Your district staff will continue to see active 2025-2026 evaluations that haven’t been archived under the “Other Documents” section of the Evaluation Process.
Archiving features will be under maintenance for an undetermined period. Once archiving capabilities are turned back on, the earliest year available for archiving purposes will be 2026-2027.
I am so excited to get access to the new features in Strive. How can my district teams get access as soon as possible?
Beginning mid-June, Strive Appraisal Administrators will see a pop-up in Strive asking for your planned archive date. If you would like to be one of the first districts to access the new Strive Evaluation interface, please inform our team as soon as possible that your district’s archive is complete. Informing us that your district’s archive is complete is as simple as clicking a button.
What happens if I have only archived a portion of the 2025-2026 evaluation data? Some staff groups have not completed their evaluation processes due to extended year contracts.
If evaluation data has not been archived by June 15, 2026, and your district has not communicated a planned archive date to the Eduphoria team, all remaining unarchived documents will be stored under the 2026-2027 year once they are archived. No data will be lost or changed within the evaluation. However, the folder under which the data is stored will reflect the 2026-2027 school year.
I heard archiving won’t be available for a period of time. Why? And when will the archive process become available again?
Yes, after June 15 or once your district’s data has been migrated, the archiving options will not be present for Appraisal Administrators. This is to preserve the integrity of the data while Strive’s updates are happening. Archiving functionality will become available again once the early additional phases of Strive updates are complete. Once archiving becomes available again, you will be informed via communications such as our newsletter, status page, and this article.
What will happen to the reports my district relies on? I am concerned that the TIA report will generate incorrect data for staff whose evaluations will need to be archived after June 15, 2026.
Reports will not be impacted by this process or Strive’s updates. Reports reference specific values, such as the start date for an evaluation process. The archive year will not impact TIA reports. If a staff member’s documents are not archived by June 15, 2026, it will not impact reporting data.
