Before contacting support for issues with your computer, run these simple checks to make sure your browser is up to date and an extension is not causing an issue. This article contains information in sections for updating the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge. Scroll down to view individual browser update and add-on checks.
Chrome Browsers:
Chrome Support article from Google
Update Chrome
- Open Chrome
- At the top right, click on the More button (the 3 vertical dots):
- Click Update Google Chrome
- Relaunch Chrome
Check Extensions/Add-Ons
- Open Chrome
- Click File, New Incognito Window
This opens Chrome without any extensions or add-ons to see if those are causing the issue. Access Eduphoria in this Incognito window to determine if add-ons are causing an issue. If everything loads correctly, it indicates that the extension is causing the issue.
In most cases, an extension that is an ad or pop-up blocker is causing the issue.
- Open Chrome
- Click the More button (the 3 vertical dots) on the right side of the browser
- Select More Tools
- Select Extensions
- Now it is for you to disable extensions and test to find which one is causing the issue.
- Disable an extension and test it to eliminate the one causing problems.
Firefox Browsers:
Update Firefox
- Open Firefox
- On the menu bar, click Firefox and choose About Firefox.
- The About Firefox window will open and will automatically check for updates.
- When the download completes, click the Restart to Update Firefox button on the window.
Check Extensions/Add-Ons
- Open Firefox
- Click File, New Private Window
This opens Firefox without any extensions or add-ons to see if those are causing the issue. Access Eduphoria in this Private window to determine if add-ons are causing an issue. If everything loads correctly, it indicates that the extension is causing the issue.
In most cases, an extension that is an ad or pop-up blocker is causing the issue.

- Click the More button (the 3 vertical lines) on the right side of the browser
- Select Add-Ons
- Now it is for you to disable extensions and test to find which one is causing the issue.
- Disable an extension and test it to eliminate the one causing problems.
Safari Browsers
Safari is kept up to date using the latest MacOS updates for your device. Check your settings to make sure you have updated your MacOS to the latest version.
Microsoft Edge Browsers:
Microsoft’s browser is kept up to date using the latest Windows Update found in Settings, Updates & Security. Check your settings to make sure you have the updated Windows settings on your device. Internet Explorer was discontinued by Microsoft in 2017 and no longer has updates to work with our software.
Screen Adjustments:
If you zoom in too much, you may have issues with the screen cutting off.
In Chrome
- At the top right, click on the More button (the 3 vertical dots)
- Click Zoom and make sure the zoom setting is set to 100%
In Firefox
- At the top right, click on the Open Menu button (the 3 vertical lines)
- Click Zoom and make sure the zoom setting is set to 100%
