Management is the administrative backbone of the Eduphoria software suite. It serves as the central hub where district and school administrators configure organizational settings, define user roles and rights, manage staff accounts, and lay the groundwork for effective integration with other modules.
Key Features
Roles and Rights – Roles and rights determine what users can access and do in Eduphoria’s ecosystem. This is foundational for ensuring appropriate access levels based on staff responsibilities. Rights are specific permissions assigned to a user, such as creating assessments in Aware, viewing evaluations in Strive, or managing district-wide curriculum in Beacon. Roles can be assigned to users to automatically grant them a set of rights based on responsibilities commonly associated with their job title.
User Account Management – By keeping an accurate record of user accounts, you ensure the security of your district’s data. Management allows you to add, import, edit, and delete user accounts to keep an accurate record of who can access what in the system. You can also add guest users, establish teams within your district, and set up student rosters.
Organizational Structure Setup – This step involves mapping out the district and school hierarchy so that Eduphoria tools function properly. Configure district-wide settings, create school profiles, and set up yearly calendars to ensure that all Eduphoria modules function smoothly from year to year.
Getting Started
New here? Welcome! We have some recommendations for which tasks you can get started with when using Management:
Create schools and departments – With every license your district acquires, you can create a school and unlimited departments within it.
Set up school calendars – Set up instructional and reporting calendars for your school to support system processes across many Eduphoria applications, with the school year’s start and end dates being the most important to establish.
Connect users through a Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication method – Eduphoria offers many SSO methods, including SAML, ClassLink SSO, and Azure Active Directory and SAML2.
Import additional user data – For any user data not included with SSO authentication, you can import the rest via the user import CSV or Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
Set up your roster – Transfer your roster from your Student Information System (SIS) into Eduphoria using our Remote Roster Tool or ClassLink OneRoster.
Mass assign subjects to courses – After importing courses from your SIS into Eduphoria, you must assign a subject to each course. Coding courses impact building assessments and data analysis in Aware.
Familiarize yourself with user roles and rights – Once you’ve created your user accounts, you can assign them roles and rights that are appropriate for completing their job tasks. We offer built-in and custom roles.
Best Practices
Audit roles and rights annually to ensure appropriate access and maintain security within the platform.
Use groups and teams for streamlined communication and data sharing.
Train school administrators to manage their users locally while maintaining district oversight.
Leverage SIS integration to reduce manual data entry, if available.
