Working With Strategies

On the Strategies screen, you can perform all tasks related to managing categories and strategies. This article provides a walkthrough of each of these tasks.

Note: Only users with the Create District Curriculum Courses right can manage strategies.

Adding a Strategy

  1. On the Strategies screen, select New Strategy under the Category to which you want to assign the new strategy.

  2. In the Title field, enter a name for the strategy.

  3. In the Description field, enter information about the strategy that assists teachers in applying it.

  4. Select Save to add the new strategy.

Editing a Strategy

  1. On the Strategies screen, select the Pencil icon () for the strategy you want to edit.

  2. (Optional) In the Title field, you can change the name of the strategy.

  3. (Optional) In the Description field, you can edit any text, links, or uploaded files or add new ones.

  4. Select Save to finalize changes to the strategy.

Activating or Deactivating a Strategy

  1. On the Strategies screen, locate the toggle for the strategy you want to activate.

  2. Select the toggle to change the status of the strategy. If the toggle is blue, then the strategy is active and available to apply to lessons and plans. If the toggle is gray, then the strategy is inactive and cannot be used.

Deleting a Strategy

  1. On the Strategies screen, select the Pencil icon () for the strategy you want to delete.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. In the resulting Confirmation window, select OK to confirm.

Adding a Strategy

Step 1: On the Strategies screen, select New Strategy under the Category to which you want to assign the new strategy.

Step 2: In the Title field, enter a name for the strategy.

Step 3: In the Description field, enter information about the strategy that assists teachers in applying it. Here, you can set the following format options:

  • Change the Text style to be a title, subtitle, body text, or bulleted list.

  • Select the Bold icon () to bold text.

  • Select the Italics icon () to italicize text.

  • Select the Underline icon () to underline text.

  • Select the Link icon () to add a URL link to the description.

  • Select the Upload icon () to add images and PDFs to the description.

Step 4: Select Save to add the new strategy.

Editing a Strategy

Step 1: On the Strategies screen, select the Pencil icon () for the strategy you want to edit. Expand and collapse strategies to see their current content.

Step 2: (Optional) In the Title field, you can change the name of the strategy.

Step 2: Select the toggle to change the strategy’s status. If the toggle is blue, then the strategy is active and available to apply to lessons and plans.
