Teacher Teams FAQ

Who can be on a team?

Any user can be invited to join a Teacher Team. However, at this time there is no reason for anyone besides a teacher to be on a Team in Aware or Forethought. Campus and district administrators have Roles and Rights set up that give them more appropriate functionality than being on a Teacher Team would add in most cases.

How do Teacher Teams in Aware work for teachers that do not have rosters of students imported from our Student Information System?

At this time, teachers without rosters can access and co-author Team Tests in their Aware Assessments tab if they are on a Teacher Team. They still need the Limited Student Data Viewer role in order to access student information and will not have any extra analysis capabilities. Future development will address this.

Can teams include teachers from multiple campuses?

Yes! There are no limits on who can be invited to join a team. Eduphoria encourages teachers who work as professional learning communities that span across campuses to try creating versions of Teacher Teams in Aware that include as many teachers as they need. 

Will teachers on a team be able to view individual student data for students they do not teach?

No, and they never will. Eduphoria is dedicated to making sure that teachers are only able to view data at the individual student level when they have a legitimate educational interest. This is determined by the nightly roster import and by the approval process required for Monitor Lists.

Will teachers on a team be able to view summary data for other teachers' classes?

Yes and no. Districts are able to set default configuration options that allow or disallow teachers to view summary data of other teachers' classes. Viewing data as teams does not override this option at this time.

What happens to a Teacher Test once it has been promoted to a Team Test?

THE TEACHER TEST IS CONVERTED, SO IT GOES AWAY.  Teachers who wish to retain copies of their old Teacher Tests are encouraged to use the Copy Existing Test option to make a duplicate Teacher Test.

Do students' results from Team Tests follow them to new teachers and new school years.

Yes! Team Tests are assigned a Test Type. As long as that Test Type is configured to be analyzable by teachers and viewed on the student profile, then future teachers with access to students will be able to view prior Team Test data.

How does a Teacher Team in Aware relate to Forethought Teams?

They are the same team. When a Team Planner is created in Forethought, the team of teachers will also be able to create Team Tests in Aware. When a Teacher Team is created in Aware, that team will also be able to set up a Team Planner in Forethought.
