Users with the Manage Custom Item Banks right can add, edit, and delete custom item banks from the Custom Items Banks screen, which lists all of the custom item banks for your district. Articles in this section describe the actions that users with this right can take to effectively manage imported assessment items and prebuilt tests.
To access Custom Item Banks, select the Item Bank Settings gear icon and then choose Manage Custom Banks. From this screen, you can select Create Item Bank to add a new custom item bank or search the list and choose an option from the Actions column to make changes.
Note: Only users with the Manage Custom Item Banks right can access the Manage Custom Banks screen. Users with the Item Bank Administrator role have the the Manage Custom Item Banks right by default.

About Manage Imports
The Manage Imports screen lists each QTI package that has been imported into the custom item bank you are viewing, as well as information about each import, such as the date of the import, who imported the package, and the number of items with issues. You can also check on the status of your imports. Statuses include:
Queued – The import has been submitted but has not yet started processing.
In Progress – The import is actively being processed.
Completed – The import was completed successfully.
Failed – The import did not start successfully. See the Troubleshooting section below to find out what went wrong.

About the Import Log
When you import a QTI package into a custom item bank, the process runs in the background. You can check on the progress of the import by opening the Import Log.
Select the Import ID on the Manage Imports screen to open the Import Log.

The top of the Import Log shows the number of items that are pending import, valid, with issues, or failed. The table provides detailed information about each item, including the Item ID, Item Type, Status, and Message if a message is attached. You can export the Import Log as a spreadsheet file for analysis and reporting. This is helpful for reporting issues back to vendors if needed.

Item statuses include:
Pending Items – Items waiting to be imported from the package.
Valid Items – Items that imported successfully and can be added to assessments.
Items with Issues - Items with issues that might prevent them from functioning as expected. These items have small problems, such as unknown attributes. Review these items thoroughly and delete them if they do not function as expected.
Failed Items – These items failed to import and were not added to the custom item bank. This happens when there are too many errors for the item to function properly or if the item does not follow QTI specifications.
Note: If an explanation is available, the Message column provides insight into why the item has issues or failed to import. Due to the variability of QTI packages, Eduphoria cannot make modifications to support individual items that fail to import.
Note: Some item types can be rendered by our software, but we do not support the ability to edit those items. Examples include but are not limited to polygonal hot spot shapes and drag-and-drop items to images.
