Process Statuses

Prev Next

Process Management assigns a status to every process to indicate its current availability to users. Assigning start and end dates to a process affects which statuses appear throughout the process’s life.

Note: Districts that have completed migrating their processes to Strive’s updated process builder must address the Dates Required status before they can continue using their old processes. Administrators no longer need to tie processes to the instructional calendar but can manage each process’s time span using the Start and End Dates on the Process Management table.

Active

A process has an Active status if its Start Date is in the past, but its End Date is in the future. You can assign active processes to staff members. Active processes are fully available to use for their intended purpose, such as creating documents to evaluate staff members.

Dates Required

If your district has completed migrating its processes from the old process builder to the new one, then all old processes have the Dates Required status. Processes are no longer tied to the instructional calendar and therefore need their own Start and End Dates assigned within Process Management.

A process with the Dates Required status can be assigned to staff members, but they cannot view it until an administrator has entered its Start and End Dates. Double-clicking Not Set in the Start Date and End Date columns lets you either type your date or select it from a calendar. Start and End Dates should cover the process’s required time span for the upcoming school year.

Tip: Users should also review and assign due dates to their tasks within the process, so they can manage tasks within Strive’s Overview and Activity Tracker.

Standby

A process has a Standby status if its Start Date is in the future. You can assign a process in Standby to staff members, but evaluators and staff members have View Only access until the process becomes active. They cannot yet create documents for the process.
