Task 1: Plan a Meeting

  • Invite decision-makers to a meeting to plan Strive implementation and reflection.

  • Include Tasks 2-9 discussion and assignment from the Meeting Agenda.

Task 3: Modify Frameworks

  • Determine which Appraisee Types need frameworks (such as which ones will be monitored for growth/goal setting).

  • Verify which frameworks and standards you want to set for the Appraisee Types you will monitor for growth.

  • Update existing framework language and dimensions as needed.

  • Add new frameworks if needed for tagging goals, evaluation documents, and professional development.

Note: Eduphoria provides locked templates that help ensure data fidelity and simplify the process of using templates for the Eduphoria community. The current templates include T-TESS Alt D1, T-TESS v2, T-PESS v2 , and T-SCESS. You can find information about updating to the new locked frameworks at Setting up the T-TESS Process and Setting up the T-PESS Process. You will only need to create frameworks for any other processes you have that use multiple elements over time for comparison.

Task 4: Update Evaluation Templates

  • Access current evaluation forms for principal and evaluator feedback.

  • Verify that you can obtain good data and reports from evaluation templates.

  • Visit Eduphoria Community in Evaluation Setup to determine if other evaluation forms would be more effective.

  • Import templates from Eduphoria Community and edit as needed.

  • Create or edit new templates as needed.

  • Tag evaluation templates with domain and dimension.

  • Determine document options, like signatures or copying data into the summative.

  • Ensure that Student Growth is added to the evaluation process per Texas Education Code Chapter 150, Subchapter AA,  §150.1001(f)(2).

Note: Obtain a summative document that includes the Student Growth rating from the Eduphoria Community.

Task 5: Update Appraisee Types

  • Review your T-TESS and T-PESS Appraisee Types and evaluation processes.

  • Create additional Appraisee Types as needed.

    • Remember, Appraisee Types are based on steps and tasks, so multiple employee groups can use the same Appraisee Type.

  • If applicable, set the framework for each Appraisee Type. Not all will need a framework.

  • Define the evaluation process with steps and tasks for each Appraisee Type.

  • Make sure student growth is part of your T-TESS process.

  • Determine if Student Portfolios in Aware and Strive will help you with your student growth tracking.

  • Manage appraisal alerts in Evaluation Setup to send alert notifications tied to the district evaluation calendar and encourage staff members to set up evaluation status emails.

Task 6: Upload Reference Documents

  • Define documents tied to Appraisee Types that must be loaded for user reference (T-TESS rubric, district evaluation calendar, district guidelines for goal setting, etc.).

  • Define who needs to access each document.

  • Upload reference documents.

  • Create and share district expectations for professional and student goal setting.

Task 8: Get Training Ready

Note: Task 8 does not occur within the Strive application.
