Student growth scores measure academic achievement over time. Measurements of student progress can provide an important support to improving teacher growth.
Note: The Collect Student Growth Percentages feature is only available for Summative documents.
Quick Guide:
Appraisal Administrator Steps:
- Open Strive and select Appraisal Settings.
- Select the Appraisal Settings gear, then select Evaluation Templates.
- Open Summative Documents and select the document you want to update.
- Select the Template Options tab to set behaviors for the document.
- Select the checkbox to collect student growth percentages. This setting must be enabled; otherwise, the percentages will not be included with the summative information.
Appraiser Step:
- Import Student Growth Goal percentages directly from an attached portfolio into the summative document or enter the appropriate student growth scores in the summative window.
Note: To enter scores manually, scores can be found in the Goal Details Spreadsheet Export. However, if any students have not been rated, the percentages will be inaccurate until all students are scored or removed from the portfolio. The student growth scores can also be found in the Portfolio Snapshot.

Districts following TIA data collection guidelines may only collect two out of three percentages. If your district does not distinguish between Expected Growth and Exceeded Growth scores, then insert a zero in the unused scoring box. If the box is left blank, then it will not be considered scored, potentially skewing the data. For best results when using only two student growth score boxes, Eduphoria recommends inserting the collected percentage into the Expected Growth box and a zero into the Exceeded Growth box.
