Importing TFAR test data into Aware requires a specific file format. When accessing data in the TFAR platform, ensure that all file imports are saved as a CSV file to successfully import.
Eduphoria’s importer was built to load the CSV file version of the exports available in Cambium’s TFAR platform. For additional information on accessing that export, refer to Cambium’s TFAR help documentation.
To ensure a successful upload, verify that all fields listed in the table below are present, have the exact “field header value name” in the top cell of the column, and are appropriately formatted.
Some fields require data in the column, and other fields do not. If a field does not require data, the column must still exist in the file. Any optional field can be empty. If additional columns exist other than the ones listed below, they will still be imported. However, not all of the data in the extra fields will be available in a data view.
Note: When making changes to the file, ensure it saves as a CSV file and ensure the date fields are not overridden to another format.
TFAR Required Fields
*The TFAR importer will automatically include the grade if it is an EOC. When naming the assessment, consider putting the grade level, subject, and “TFAR” in the title.
**The Test Subject, Test Grade, and Test Group fields must be manually input before importing. Select one of the options in the “Expected Value” column.
Troubleshooting Failed TFAR Imports
The file should load data as long as the following criteria are met.
- All of the fields in the table above are present.
- All of the fields have the correct column name in the header.
- All of the fields have the correct value, including those that are manually added by the user.
- The file is saved in a CSV format.
If there are any required fields not present, add them to the spreadsheet and give them the proper label. This can be done manually.
For additional help using the TFAR exporter, refer to Cambium’s TFAR help resources. Fields with required data may need to be populated if they weren’t automatically.
