Aware New Navigation Rollout Plan 2023 details Eduphoria’s intentions and steps for Aware’s updated navigation released to districts in small batches throughout the Spring.
Scratchpad for online testing is here! Students can use the Scratchpad support option while taking an assessment to create sketches or graphs during their online testing experience. When activated, this option appears in the toolbar in the online test interface.
Alternative text support for math language is available. Now anytime an assessment uses LaTeX in a prompt or answer, a pop-up box allows test authors to write alternative text!
Aware’s Force Submit button has been renamed End Test. We updated the warning message with new language to emphasize the potential consequences of ending a test.
Users with the correct rights can now access Student Inventories as an assessment tab in the Author table in Aware’s new navigation.
Two new features have been added to Test Authoring and Item Bank! Test authors can click the report button to send a message about TEKSbank items to Eduphoria’s Support Team and the Region 10 help ticket service. A Resource Attached indicator displays automatically when a test question has a connected resource.
Appraisers can now directly import Student Growth Goal percentages from an attached portfolio into the summative document. The percentages for each Student Growth Rating pre-populate, and users can edit these fields after import. Percentages display above each Student Growth Score in the portfolio snapshot.
Aware
Analyze/Data View
Percentages for Student Individual Response data equals 100 percent. An issue caused the inclusion of student confidence data, which disrupted totals. We’re confident that’s no longer the case.
Student Individual Response Quick Views are viewable under class periods. Users would see a blank view for certain assessments after drilling down by class period and accessing Individual Students, then Student Individual Responses.
Constructed Response question types populate percentages in all data views. Despite having data available, constructed response questions showed zero percent within district and campus data views. Situation resolved. All systems go.
Assessments
Text-to-Speech can be toggled on and off for all Multipart questions. Users can enable this support for Item Bank questions and manually-created questions. Re-add any previously-created multipart questions to assessments to apply this fix.
A score of “0” for Constructed Response saves and displays correctly in Enter Answers. On the bright side, the only way to go from here is up.
The overview in Enter Answers displays the correct number of Constructed Response items. A problem arose where the Enter Answers overview wasn’t including constructed response items that were part of multipart questions, and their scoring guides weren’t visible.
Upload Test File
We have updated the NWEA MAP file format. As long as STAAR Projected Proficiency, ACT College Reading, or SAT data are individually stored in one of the Projected Proficiency columns and the user saves the file correctly, the import should display all fields accurately. Be sure to reimport if you were experiencing issues.
Helpdesk
Helpdesk tickets will no longer show “No Name” for new tickets. This fix includes self-submitted and proxy tickets.
Strive
Courses/PD
Users can send and receive emails successfully through Strive courses. Course staff experienced an issue that prevented emails from reaching attendee inboxes. That’s enough accidental ghosting.
Evaluation Process
No more white screens when accessing Evaluation Process tasks. When teachers select their Walkthrough, Observation, or Summative Documents, they should load as normal.
