Users can export STAAR preliminary data files from Cambium and upload them in Aware for data analysis. By reviewing the data in a preliminary file, district data viewers, principals, and teachers can see student performance levels and scale scores to determine next action steps for a student, such as if they need to take summer school or a remedial course.
Quick Guide:
- Access the Texas Education Agency (TEA) website, scroll down to After Testing, and select Centralized Reporting System (CRS).
- Log in to Cambium.
- On the TEA Reporting Dashboard, select Programs, and then check the box for STAAR Summative. Under Test Administrations, select the current year’s STAAR Summative, and then select Apply.
- Next, select Download Student Results.
- On the Student Results Generator, select the following options:
- Student Data File for report type
- CSV or TXT for report format
- Single Combined Data File for output
- The current year’s STAAR Summative for test reason
- Under Select Assessments, check the box for All Subjects and select Next. Then under Select Students, check the box for All Students. Select Generate.
- Open the Inbox to access the preliminary report.
- The Actions column will show a ZIP file download as being in progress. Once complete, open the ZIP file and retrieve the CSV or TXT preliminary report, which users can upload in Aware.
